Madleen Alsabbah, the first American-born Palestinian in her family, is a devoted yoga instructor who discovered the transformative power of yoga in 2013. After completing her 200-hour teacher training in 2018 and Bhakti training in 2023, she deepened her connection to devotional practices, enriching the spiritual depth she brings to her classes and heart-opening ceremonies. Madleen’s passion for healing and unity is rooted in her experiences growing up amidst the echoes of war, which inspired her to create sacred spaces for community connection and healing.
Her diverse teaching background includes leading classes at institutions like UW-Madison and Monona Terrace, as well as wellness retreats and studios. With a compassionate, accessible approach, Madleen creates inclusive environments where students of all ages and abilities can embrace their authentic selves, explore their inner landscapes, and experience personal transformation.

TESTIMONIALS
I highly encourage anyone who is interested in starting yoga or expanding their practice to experience classes with Madleen. As the former Complementary Medicine Manager at Group Health Cooperative, I have had the pleasure to work with Madleen through a business partnership and as a student in her classes. She generously helped GHC by spreading the benefits of yoga to the community by teaching classes and workshops at the Monona Terrace. Madleen is warm and welcoming to students of all ages, abilities, and skill levels. She encourages everyone to work within their own comfort level while exploring movement, flexibility, mindfulness, sound, and breath. When taking Madleen’s classes, I feel more in tune with my body and mind. I always feel empowered, stronger, more confident, energized, and more relaxed. Madleen is an absolute joy! Give her classes a try, you won’t regret it.

Madleen is such a calming presence. She instantly puts u at ease. I love that one is not pressured to perform perfectly but at our comfort level. For the summer outdoor yoga classes she brought chilled, scented washcloths - which was the perfect touch! Not to mention a gentle temple message. Such a wonderful experience!!!

Madleen’s yoga classes leave me feeling grounded and connected to both my inner being and the universal being. Madleen’s musical talents are evident in the way she creates classes. Each class feels like a beautiful composition that takes you through different waves of the body’s energy, emotion, and physical expression.
